Well, blow me down popeye! Today I saw the first crane in the air in Tulsa since Mayor LaFortune claimed there would be if we passed the Vision 2025 tax. It only took 16 months!
Where did I spy it? On the construction grounds where the old Children's Medical Center used to be off of I44 and Yale. You know, the Best Buy has already been built and is set to open. The crane rises way up in the air and hopefully symbolizes a renewal in T-Town.
When you look at it under a light of scrutiny, you will see that it has nothing to do with Vision 2025! These plans were made independently from Vision 2025. Still, no thanks to Mayor LaFortune, but thanks to some out of state developers, we have a substantial retail building project in the heart of Tulsa. That should give mid-town a shot in the arm. I will try to get you a picture and post it in the next day or two.
In the meantime, hang in there fellow Tulsans.
