How could you not be amazed by the generosity of Mr. Pickens?
Having already given $70 million to OSU athletics, he now has made and pledged an additional $165 to his alma mater. This is reportedly the single largest donation by an individual to a public university ever. And he indicates that this is not the last he will give OSU!
T. Boone Pickens graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1951 with a degree in geology. He parlayed $2,500 in 1956 into billions. Not bad for a boy from Holdenville Oklahoma.
OSU has already named the football stadium after him. Maybe they should consider naming the university in his honor?

I guess the only thing better would be if he gave money to the university for educational purposes!
